The word “ANNAPURNA” is composed of two words “anna” and “purna' which means everlasting food. The Annapurna mountain range consists of six different peaks: Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III( 7555m), Annapurna IV(7525m), Annapurna South (7219m), and Gangapurna. (7455)

Annapurna Region is one of the most prevailing destinations Nepal has to offer to trekkers from all across the globe.  Therefore, it has marked its place on the list of 'WORLD'S BEST LONG DISTANCE TREK'.

The Annapurna Circuit trek circles the base of the mount Annapurna which begins from Bagarchhap (2650 m) and ends at Nayapul(1070m). The major highlights of the trek are: Muktinath Temple, Tilicho Lake, Thorang La Pass, Jomsom, Marpha, distinguish culture in the Himalayan region of Nepal, Kaligandaki and, Marshyangdi river valley.

The best part of trekking in the Annapurna regionis that the trek can be commenced both in the clockwise and anti-clockwise direction. Hence, the package can be modified as per your preference.

Itinerary

  • DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT TIA

    Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport. Welcome, airport assistance and, hotel transfer by our airport representative. You will be briefly guided about the hotel, city, trek route and, gears on the very night.
    Welcome, drink and, dinner with cultural program. O/N stay at a hotel in KTM.

  • DAY 2: DRIVE TO CHAMJE

    On day 2, at the crack of thedawn, we head towards Besisahar via road (178.8 km), which will take approximately 7 hours. And, then change our vehicle leading us to Chamje (1410 m)

  • DAY 3: TREK TO BAGARCHHAP

    On day 3 after our first meal, we trek towards Bagarchhap (2650m) passing through a number of rivers, suspension bridges,waterfalls and, wildlife. On the way to Bagarchhap, we come across a couple of beautiful villages: Tal and Dharapani. Dharapani also leads the way to Larke pass.
    O/N stay at a lodge in Bagarchhap.

  • DAY 4: TREK TO CHAME

    After breakfast, we head to Chame which lies in the north of Bagarchhap. The trekking trail to Chame is a bit rock-ribbed and beautifully timbered.
    On trek day 3, after covering a distance of 13.5 km which is approximately 4 hours walk we finally lay eyes on alluring mountains from Chame village (2710 m), which is the headquarter of Manang district.

  • DAY 5: TREK TO PISANG VILLAGE

    On day 5, after morning meal we march towards Pisang Village which takes us around 4 hours.
    The Trek route to Pisang Village via Dhukur Pokhari (3240 m)is mostly graveled. The distance to Pisang village (3300 m) is 13.6 km.

  • DAY 6: TREK TO MANANG

    On day 6, after breakfast, we hit the road towards Manang (3500 m). From lower Pisang, the distance to Manang is 17.2 km that takes us around 4 hours to climb up to Manang.
    There is a medical center in Manang in case if you need any sort of medical assistance. The “ Altitude sickness talk” happens every day at 3 P.M.

  • DAY 7: ACCLIMATIZATION DAY AT MANANG

    Acclimatization at a high altitude is very crucial to prevent altitude sickness.
    On this very day, you can hike to Tilicho Lake, the World's highest lake at an elevation of 4919 meters. The view of the turquoise blue water in between the peaks: Nilgiri, Tilicho, Muktinath, and Khangsar is breathtaking.
    Or you can spend your day in the theatre or roaming around the valley.
    O/N stay at a lodge in Manang.

  • DAY 8: TREK TO YAK KHARKA

    Yak Kharka is located at an altitude of 4050 meters, which is at a distance of 10 km north of Manang that takes us around 4 hours of walk-in between the vivid landscapes.

  • DAY 9: HIKE TO THORANG LA PHEDI

    On day 9, we start our trek to Thorang La Phedi ( 4850 m ) which is 6 hours trek from Yak Kharka covering a distance of 9 km. The trek route is quite risky as it is a landslide-prone area. So, you must be careful while walking.
    O/N stay at a lodge in Thorang La High camp.

  • DAY 10: HIKE TO THORANG LA PASS AND MUKTINATH

    Thorang La Pass is the world’s highest pass located at an altitude of 5416 meters and is the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit trek connecting Manang district and Muktinath temple(3800 m). This day is going to be a long day because you have to wake up early, eat your breakfast and then head up to the Thorang La Pass by 4:30. It will take you around 3 hours to reach on the top of Thorang La Pass (5416 m) to see the best view of Annapurna. After 8 hours of walk, you will reach Muktinath temple, which has a huge significance in both Hinduism and Buddhism.
    O/N stay in Muktinath.

  • DAY 11: TREK TO KAGBENI

    On day 11, after breakfast, we head towards Kagbeni (2800 m) which is 12 km from Muktinath that will take us around 4 hours walk accompanied by beautiful villages, people and, amazing views. Kagbeni leads the way to the restricted Upper Mustang.
    O/N stay at a lodge in Kagbeni.


  • DAY 12: DRIVE TO TATOPANI

    On day 12, after breakfast, we head towards Jomsom which is just an hour's walk from Kagbeni. The way to Tatopani is headed by villages like Marpha village, Tukuche, and Ghasa that will take us around 4 hours of drive.
    You can enjoy the natural hot water spring and relax. O/N stay at a lodge in Tatopani.

  • DAY 13: TREK TO GHOREPANI

    After breakfast, we head towards Ghorepani( 2874m), a small village with beautiful mountains surrounding it. Previously Ghorepani used to be a place where ancient traders used to water their horses.But today Ghorepani is popular for glorifying view of Annapurna South.

  • DAY 14: EARLY MORNING HIKE TO POONHILl, DESCEND TO NAYAPUL AND DRIVE BACK

    On this day early morning, we hike to Poonhill (3210m) to see the early morning sun gazing at the mountains leading to a beautiful sunrise. A number of mountains: Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Tukuche, Dhaulagiri, Macchapuchre, and others are visible from Poonhill view tower. Poonhill is the heart of the Annapurna Conservation area and is the centrum of the Annapurna Conservation Area.
    After breakfast, we descend towards Nayapul and then drive back to Pokhara which is approximately 1 hour.

  • DAY 15: DRIVE TO KATHMANDU

    The drive to Kathmandu is 6-7 hours (207 km) depending upon the condition of the roads. On reaching Kathmandu you are transferred to a hotel and your rest of the day is free.
    Farewell dinner and O/N stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • DAY 16: FINAL DEPARTURE

    Our airport representative will assist you with the final departure.
