The lower Mustang Trek directs to Muktinath at 3800m, a famous pilgrimage destination to both the Hindus and the Buddhist where they will be able to take a glance of the Divine light which has been lightened up ever since. This trek has also been known as cultural and religious treks as the trek encompasses through centuries of cultural perfection being practiced intact till date reaching the pilgrimage shared mutually by both the Hindus and the Buddhist in utmost respect and homage.
The trek follows the Kali Gandaki River originating from the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri range that border the are from two fronts allowing to witness the picture perfect moment when 8 of 20 most tallest peaks in the world lie ahead and on top of that lie thick forests of Rhododendron serve as a tonic for sore eyes. The trekkers can continue the trek towards Thorong La pass and beyond to Manang, another Himalayan district of Nepal. However the Upper Mustang Trek resumes from Kagbeni towards Upper Mustang on their return from Muktinath.

Day 1. Arrival and transfer to hotel

Day 2. Drive to Pokhara
Pokhara is a beautiful city located in the western part of Nepal. The beautiful city of lakes is 200 kilometers from the capital city. After around 6 hours of a drive led by the Trishuli river, we reach Pokhara.

Day 3. Early flight to Jomsom, trek to Kag beni
Jomsom (2700 m) is the headquarter of the Mustang district in the northern part of Nepal. We have to take an early morning flight to Jomsom which will take us around 25 minutes.
After breakfast in Jomsom, we start our hike to Kagbeni. Kagbeni is one of the oldest villages in the Himalayas and is a Tibetan-influenced village in the Kali Gandaki river valley. After around four hours of the hike, we reach Kagbeni.

Day 4. Trek to Muktinath
On the second day of the trek after appetizing Tibetan breakfast, we hike to Muktinath (3710 m). The trekking trail is guided by beautiful scenery and deserted landscapes. It will take us around 5 hours to reach Muktinath from Kagbeni.

Day 5. Explore
On day five of our trip, we explore the Muktinath region. Early morning we hike to Muktinath Temple a very important cultural hub for Hinduism and Buddhism. We can see one of the oldest pilgrimage sites, 108 taps, burning flame, and magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and others.
After offering prayers to Muktinath temple we descend to Marpha village. We can taste yummy apple pie and apple brandy in Marpha village. We can visit the apple garden too. There are monasteries in the village which hold high cultural importance you can talk to the monks and take blessings as well.

Day 6. Trek to jomsom
On day five of the trek, we descend to Jomsom from Marpha. It will take us around 3 hours. If you wish to take souvenirs back home Marpha brandy would be a great option. The product is a pure Nepali product gaining popularity all over Nepal these days.

Day 7. Flight to Pokhara
We take an early morning flight to Pokhara, which will approximately take us around 25 minutes. We can enjoy mesmerizing views of Annapurna in those 25 minutes.
After reaching Pokhara we have a free day to boat in the Phewa lake and visit the Peace Pagoda temple.

Day 8. Drive to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu, which is approximately 7 hours depending upon the condition of the roads.

Day 9. Free day
The day is free for you to rover around the Kathmandu valley, a World Heritage Site tour, do the souvenir shopping, or stay indoors in the hotel room.

Our airport representative will assist you with the departure formalities.
