Relatively taken as the counterpart of Annapurna Base Camp trek, Manaslu trek shares all the riches of any other trekking sites in Nepal as it is often associated with tea- house trek that reaching the world's 8th largest peak Manaslu(8,156 m).Unlike the old days, TAAN has created a new route due to the recent massive earthquake that starts from Aarughat in Gorkha district avoiding the use of camping while accommodation is arranged in tea houses, lodges as long as you keep up to the main track, making it a new attractive destination for trekking. Same is with Manaslu, like any other trek in Nepal, is full of cultural blend of both Hindu and Buddhist, garnished by the rhododendron jungle, loud gargling rivers and heart soothing sceneries.

The two major trekking sites of the region are Tsum valley Trek traversing through the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Area of Nepal and southern parts of Tibet and, Larkya La pass  also known to people around the world to have been one of the widest pass at an altitude above the snow line. The Larkya La is a route full of breathtaking sceneries, soul wrenching monasteries that have harnessed the purity of centuries long practice, devotion and respect of Buddhism displayed in the Mani walls, Chhortens and monks and nuns that can be witnessed during the trek.

The trek is a thorough guide of one of the most glorifying mountain peaks going through the Larkya La pass overlooking the Tibetan enclave Nupri, north of Manaslu, which was closed for some time citing reasons of its proximity to Tibet and was later re-opened to the world in 1991. Since the word came out late, it is still remains as one of the virgin sites yet to be explored by the outer world which most certainly makes it even more charming to be trekking in this particular site.
